Looks after the family transport business, based in Albaredo d'Adige, which he took up after the death of his father in 1984. As well as that, he is also head of the local Industrial Union and Commerce Association. Lives near Trieste. Fabi was an extremely talented driver - he was the 1982 European Formula 2 champion - who might well have developed his F1 career a lot more and for some while had he not had to retire due to his father's death.
