Zampedri enjoyed a long career since Formula 3000. He raced in CART, the IRL and TransAm but from 1999 to 2013, raced in the Porsche Supercup, winning the title in 2005. At the end of that season, he decided to retire, as his main interest is now his growing hotel (The Bowery House) and restaurant chain in New York, where he now lives. In recent years, Alessandro has also moved into real estate and hospitality management and is involved in a number of other businesses.
