Now better known as a sports road car designer, who in 2013, revealed his latest design, the Rascasse. Now lives in Monaco and also runs Marine Montecarlo, which is a combined powerboat team and motorboat dealership. On top of all this, he runs karting challenges and still keeps links to racing. Ballabio funded his racing through his role in the family aluminium company, but also through his own classic car restoration business. Fulvio came close to making Formula 1 in 1984, with Spirit, but his superlicence application was rejected and his father then died of a heart-attack shortly after. The double blow meant Fulvio's career took secondary importance to the family business and although he raced until the early 1990's, his career was never the same again. Ballabio is also linked business wise to the Colombian embassy in Monaco.
