Real name was Luciano and often raced under that name. Enjoyed a long career in sportscars. He raced from 1973 until 1987 in that discipline, He was often seen in an Osella, whether it was a PA7 (mostly), PA6 or PA5 but also raced BMW, Porsche and Lola cars too. He largely raced in Italy, but also in France, Portugal and Spain. When it came to single-seaters though, Willi appeared in a Chevron B35 for the Trivellato Racing Team. Lovato also raced in touring cars in the 1980's. He competed in many rallies before establishing a fashion business and then a construction company. Died in 2018 after a year-long battle against ill-health.
