Perhaps more famous in recent years as an engineer. He worked for Payton-Coyne in the US, in Mexican single-seaters, and more recently in the World Renault Series. Also worked as an engineer for Eric van der Poele in the GP Masters, having worked together in Formula 3000. He frequently visited historics, and still occasionally worked as an engineering consultant. Morgan started his career racing Mini's in 1965 and ended it in 1981 in British Touring Cars, with a famous F2 win at Mallory Park in 1972 squeezed in in between. David sadly died after a stroke in 2018, which followed about a year of ill-health and a previous stroke in late 2017. Dave started racing saloon cars and along with his brother Richard showed great promise, including winning a Formula 2 race at Mallory Park. Dave later also became a team boss in Formula Ford and Formula 3 before taking up race engineering. He also worked in property renovation and maintenance.
