Still alive, living in Aberdeen, Scotland. A privateer, he was adept, but didn't have financial backing and quit the sport after F2. He then went on to run a large kitchen equipment store in his home city. Scott started in the sport as an apprentice mechanic before studying further engineering whilst racing in karts. In 1973 he commissioned Patrick Head to design a Formula 2 car but the Scott 1 project ran out of money before it could've been a greater success. Soctt also won a race of the European Formula 5000 series at Silverstone in 1975.
