Popular and veteran racer, who started in Formula Junior, and raced extensively in Ireland, including sports cars and hillclimbs. Still alive, and still has an extensive racing car collection. Raced on competitively until the 1990's, but still appears at historics and club racing in Ireland. Reid was a three-time winner of the Ulster Trophy in the 1960's and also won the Leinster Trophy in 1973 at Mondello Park and came seconf in the 1963 Irish Formula Junior Championship. Reid also took a points finish in the Formula 2 championship in 1970 at the round held at Thruxton.
