Varied racer who appeared in rallies, Formula B, Formula 5000, Formula Junior and Formula Libre, winning both the Scottish and Irish titles in the latter category. Still appears at historic events and still lives near his birthplace of Culcavey House, a house that has existed since the 1800's, in nearby Hillsborough. Retired from the sport to get married. Brian's father, Hubert, was a farmer who followed the family tradition but was slightly more mechanical than his predecessors. Aside from passing on mechanical interest to Brian, Hubert demonstrated the first combine harvester in Northern Ireland in 1942. Brian himself was the first person to do a 100mph lap of Kirkistown and was also a noted hillclimber. He also drove rally cars and won the Irish Tarmac rally championship.
