Now living near Stourbridge, West Midlands. Guthrie's full title is Sir Malcolm Guthrie Bt, the third baronet of the family lineage, which includes a strong Australian heritage. Sir Malcolm is a leading BRDC member as well as being a member of Le Mans' historical club for former drivers, but also has strong links with shooting - he ran a gunmakers and attends and takes part in shooting events, including deer stalking and big game hunting. Sir Malcolm's father was Sir Giles Guthrie who was an aviator, merchant banker and for a long time, chief executive of BOAC Airlines, but the baronetcy comes from 1936 and Sir Connop Guthrie, who was also a merchant banker but also the head of the Ministry of Shipping in America and also the chairman of the North Central Wagon Company.
