Lives near St. Helens, Lancashire. After driving in Formula 2, he later appeared in club events, and raced in Group 8 and Aurora events and also had a brief attempt at a rallying career. More recently he has raced in historic festivals, competing in historic Formula 3, but also rebuilds the cars and engines. He is still a keen member of his local motor club and runs an engineering company near his home. Also ran a garage.
