Later became a businessman - he runs a metal products and fabrication firm and is still a qualified mechanical engineer, but is now also involved with a racing school and racing team. After from his Formula 2 spell, Luis' career went the opposite way from a normal career progression-wise, appearing in Formula 3 in Britain and then in 1981, French Formula Renault. Still lives in Barcelona.
