Franz has run his own racing team for over 40 years - currently they race in sportscars in both Europe and North America, as well as the big endurance races globally, including the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series. Konrad's team were also previously based in the Porsche Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup. But Konrad was no slouch as a driver, and had great success in sportscars himself, winning the 1993 Nurburgring 24 Hour race. Konrad also designed his own Group C sportscar, which raced between 1991 and 1992. Although Franz is Austrian, he has often raced under a German racing licence.
