Only had a brief spell in the sport, with a decent 5th place in the German Formula 3 championship in 1981 before his Formula 2 spell. Peter also raced in the Super Vee and Renault Elf series. He stopped racing after 3 races when he realised that despite supporting the Maurer team financially, they were supporting his team-mate Stefan Bellof. Now lives in Hong Kong, where he runs an off-road experience in both China and Tibet (and more recently, a luxury driving experience in Hong Kong) and has written a book about the driving experience across these routes. Peter has both an Austrian and Swiss passport, but has driving licences from China and America in addition to the above! Away from driving, Peter studied I.T. at M.I.T. and business before becoming an associate partner for Accenture, a business solutions company, in their Chinese base.
