Now best known in Britain as a TV broadcaster. He has raced, due to his TV links, in numerous series over the years, including more recently, endurance events, including the FIA GT series. More recently, he's been a regular in historic events, including Historic Formula Ford. Now lives in Wiltshire. His TV work has somewhat overshadowed his racing career which started over 40 years ago when he won a Formula Ford Lotus in a competition in Autosport and then saw him battle his way up the ranks to finally reach Formula 1 in 1980.
