Still living in South Africa, where he runs his own Land Rover rental business. Also enjoys travelling and adventure pursuits in his homeland. Excellent driver who was a winner in Formula 2. Of Scottish ancestry, Dougall initially trained as a development mechanical engineer but his racing prowess but an end to that. After moving from his homeland to the United Kingdom in 1975, Dougall stayed there until 1980, retiring from the sport after failing to move up to Formula 1. Rad (Robert Anthony Dougall) didn't race in much other machinery than single-seaters, with only very brief appearances in sportscars and touring cars. Dougall worked in a boat-building subsidiary in the Philippines and then worked as an R & D engineer in the transporter industry in the UK. He then ran a transporter business himself before working in the paper and cardboard industry in South Africa.
