One of the two men behind the Cosworth engine, and as such, one of the most influential people involved in motor racing's history, especially as it helped change the sport for the better. He started his career as an aircraft engineer with De Havilland, before linking up with Keith Duckworth at Lotus Engineering. They formed Cosworth in 1958, and it grew and grew. Mike retired from the firm in 1990, but is still very much in demand as a consultant engineer/businessman.
