Ran the family dairy business in Maidstone, but was also a regular in Formula 3, and was especially identified with Cooper, in whose cars, he was pretty adept, and took many wins, including ahead of Stirling Moss. He carried on racing until the early 1960's. Died of a heart-attack brought on by a bout of pneumonia. Wicken was a teetotal, religious and hard-working man who very much enjoyed the fun of racing away from running his business.
