A very popular man, Stiller was a British F3 champion in 1966 and 1967, who dominated the category during that time, but because he was over 30, didn't get the real breaks upwards. Started racing in the late 1950's and when he retired in 1970, he became a team entrant, helping Alan Jones in particular, but also ran teams in F5000, F3, Formula Atlantic and F1, with the Hesketh team. After racing he ran Tucktonia, a model village in Dorset and was also a director of the Rob Walker Motor Group. He was also owner of Harry Stiller Motor Cars on Wilshire Boulevard, in Beverly Hills, California, specialising in Rolls Royce and Bentley cars. He owned pound shop stores in Scarborough, Newcastle upon Tyne, Stockton, Hatfield and 5 near his home in Christchurch, Dorset. He also ran a business for car parking at Bournemouth Airport. He was also a regular attendee at historic or BRDC events and retained a enthusiasm for all things motorsport. Sadly, just before his 80th birthday, Harry was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and died about a month later.
