Better known as a sportscar driver, he also appeared in rallies, achieving decent results. His single-seater career was much shorter, however, with only a few years in Formula Junior, racing in the UK, and unusually for the time, Germany and Italy. Later worked as an oil company executive and also within the sport as a Competitions Manager for Shell. Died after a fight against lung cancer.
