Still alive, living in Kirkliston, in Scotland. Also raced in sportscars. Best remembered for his time with Ecurie Ecosse, and his main links to the sport come via their historic events. Duffield drove in Formula Atlantic for a couple of seasons before his short Formula 2 spell, winning a race at Ingliston in 1981 (albeit with a smaller grid than usual that year), to finish fifth in the overall standings. David then embarked on the aforementioned sportscar career. Duffield was the cousin of Allan McNish's father and David was a big influence on the young McNish, giving Allan his first set of racing overalls.
