Decent hillclimber who died of his injuries after a hillclimbing accident at Hemberg, in what was to be one of his last races in the discipline in which he was excellent at. After the suspension broke in Kiser's car in late September, he sustained serious injuries and one of his legs was amputated in what would end up to be a fruitless bid to save his life. Charly also raced in touring cars. In 1976, Kiser bought his own Osella-FA2 BMW car to attempt both Formula 2 and hillclimbs in. Sadly, it was that car that he was also driving in when he crashed.
