Sadly died recently, in a nursing home in Fiesch, after a period of ill health. Full surname was actually Habegger-Bauen. Veteran racer who first raced in the 1950's, but carried on until the early 1970's. Raced in hillclimbs and Formula Junior and Walter also bought a Brabham BT10 to race in Formula 3 and Swiss national events. Later became a car entrant (Midland Racing Team) and ran a garage. He also briefly raced in sportscars.
