Car owner, who ran his own team. Apart from Formula 2, he was best known for his hillclimbing prowess. Bruno is still alive, and for many years, ran his own garage in his hometown of Horw, specialising in Ferraris for some while. Frey was the owner of the Midland Racing team who competed largely in Formula 2. Frey ran not only himself, but other Swiss drivers including Walter Habegger, Paul Blum and Ruedi Gygax in a range of cars including Brabham's, Tecno's and a Chevron B18. After both financial issues and his race car being stolen at Monza, Bruno wound up the team in 1971. Bruno later became a field hockey referee.
