Ran his Formula 1 team for ages. Now mostly retired, but still has a business interest in sportscars and road cars. As a driver, Gerard started in rallying, winning the Tour de Course in 1969. Even in circuit racing, Larrousse was not really focused on a single-seater career and was best known for his sportscar efforts, winning Le Mans in 1973 and 1974. Before running his own F1 team, Gerard was team manager of the Renault team between 1984 and 1985 and ran a Formula 2 team for many years.
