Started with Matra as a chassis design engineer in the late 1960's and was last involved in motorsport as Erik Comas' race engineer at Ligier in 1992. Michel was also working in the research and development side of Ligier when he left. Michel spent nearly twenty years with Ligier, often in the company of friend Gerard Ducarouge and remains close to the marque; indeed, he is the President of the Ligier J2 Club. Just before he left the sport, Michel set up Semaphore, a language, translation and technical consultancy, based in Vichy, which helps with translation of technical automobile and racing literature. Beaujon is also involved in the property market, running a home rental concern.
