Later went into road car development after a long spell in motorsport. Choulet worked as Toyota F1's simulations and development consultant, and still advises Toyota Motorsports generally, as well as being a consultant and owner of Aerodyne, an aerodynamics motorsport company. His initial work in the industry centred on suspensions before then working for Matra, Porsche, Lola, Alfa Romeo, Ligier and Citreon. Robert has also had many technical works published and received industry awards for his long service to the sport.
