Pivotal name in Ferrari's history, who joined the firm in 1960, and within two years had risen - albeit benefiting from the defections to ATS - to be head of the team's technical department, where by and large, he then oversaw a number of notable triumphs and technical revolutions, remaining in the sport for another 30 years. In 1994, he formed Oral Engineering and he remained involved with them, as well as being a technical consultant until his death in 2022.
