Became team principal at Caterham in 2014 for a brief spell before the team went into administration. Despite his relative young age, he had been in the sport for over 15 years on and off. After graduating with a doctorate in economic science, he worked with Minardi as a marketing manager, before working as a sporting director in International Formula 3000 and German F3. He then became Draco's Italian F3000 sporting director and also has been involved with the HRT team in marketing. Manfredi also runs Ravetto and Pharaons in London, which is a financial management and brokers business, and is also keen on politics, running as a candidate in elections in Italy in 2014. He is currently the leader of the New Republic Movement and is more active in politics again since leaving the sport after his Caterham spell. However, in 2018, he returned to the sport as ByKolles' World Endurance Championship's team principal for a while. He is still involved in the sport as a motorsport manager and advisor and in 2022, returning to racing in Italian GT with a team run by himself and Paolo Ruberti.
