Moved to America after Formula 1, where he has worked as a technical consultant to Penske and G-Force. Now back in the UK, as a consultant, living in Dorset, and also designs yachts. Bennett designed a number of cars, racing his own 750F cars before joining Lotus as an engineer, before then enjoying a long spell with Firestone. He was instrumental in racing tyre and suspension development and enjoyed a spell at Lola and worked with the FIA. As well as yacht design, he has also designed gliders, and released a book about his life in the mid 2010's.
