Still involved in the sport, as he worked as a race engineer in GT racing, as a technical director in Formula Ford and formerly was involved in similar roles in A1 GP. Richard's main role was running his successful design and engineering business in Towcester, just miles from Silverstone, but the company dissolved in 2023. Richard has been involved for some while in racing, which included an apprenticeship with BRM and racing in the 750 Formula as a youngster. Richard also enjoys ice-hockey.
