Vastly experienced engineer who crossed over to America and worked for a number of outfits, including Parnelli Jones' team. Was briefly technical director at Panoz before his sudden death from a heart-attack. He worked on four wheel drive and gas turbine projects in Formula 1 and he also served Arciero-Wells well in the US, as well as the All American Racers outfit. Baldwin was trained as an aircraft engineer and thus became an aerodynamic expert. John also worked for McLaren in both Formula 1 and Indycars.
