Simon has now won 4 Spa 6 Hour races, his latest win coming in 2012. Simon, whose designing role at Merzario, whilst working as a mechanic, has been dismissed by him as not being a serious attempt, formed his company in 1982 after a period of driving in club racing, especially in Lotus Elans, but also spells at ATS and Formula Atlantic as a fabricator. The firm has grown and grown with the popularity of historic racing, which is where the business has excelled itself. The business - and indeed Simon - now do fabrication, car restoration, transportation, driver teaching, car preparation and even hiring racing cars for events, shows or individuals.
