Aerodynamic ace who worked for Pac-West in CART, being in charge of their wind tunnel programme, and for Jim Hall's Indycar team as a development engineer but is now involved in Ford's NASCAR programme in a similar role, which even includes drag racing, sprint and midget cars. Bernie qualified with a degree in aeronautical engineering from Aachen University. As well as Formula 1, NASCAR and CART, Marcus also has worked in rallying. He started in the sport designing the K3 Porsche 935 for the Kremer brothers, then joined the ATS Formula 1 team and also worked for March. As well as Pac-West, he worked for Galles in CART and was a race engineer for Bobby Rahal and Al Unser Jr. Bernie helped design the Galmer Indycar which won Indianapolis in 1992. Bernie also worked at the MIRA wind tunnel in Britain. Bernie's full name is Bernd.
