CEO of Williams F1 from 2020-2022, Jost took over the role of both team principal as part of absorbing a whole number of management duties after an internal reshuffle in 2021. Jost started with BMW before joining Porsche in 1989. He has since worked as an executive for numerous firms including Sauber and also Ford, focusing on that company's push on the World Rally Championship. He joined Volkswagen in 2012 and brought them unprecedented World Rally Championship success. Capito also had a spell with McLaren in 2016. He left at the beginning of 2023 and amongst other business and engineering consultancy roles, he works as a chief advisor to a Swiss autonomous driving technology firm, Loxo.
