Now a landscape artist, after over 20 years of designing cars, which he still does on an ad-hoc basis, and he still follows the sport. Now lives in Oxfordshire. Kelly designed the RAM-March 01 and RAM-March 02, but despite having the likes of Palmer, Salazar, Alliot and Acheson drive for them, the team didn't enjoy much success and Kelly left the team at the end of the 1984 season. Dave's nickname at the team was Ned, after the Australian outlaw.
