Popular racer who remains linked to the sport, mainly through historic events, but also enjoys modern day racing. Tasman Champion in 1970 and the New Zealand Gold Star championship winner in 1975, Lawrence also won four non-championship Grands Prix, Malaysia once, and Singapore three times. He races in historics still, but also is a consultant to drivers and also used to run a garage in Hamilton. Graeme -who started racing in the early 1960's - carried on racing until the 1980's in Singapore, Macau, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. He retired in 1983, and then until 1994 became a team boss. After that, Graeme's son became involved with inline hockey so Lawrence dedicated his time to this sport and his family.
