Became a businessman until his early death, from AIDS, in 1988. Started racing in 1960 in a handful of races, and then stopped, picking up the sport again in 1965. But it wasn't until 1968 that he really made a career for himself, doing well in Formula 3, winning a race at Snetterton. His time in Formula 3 was encouraging, but a large amount of accidents meant he wasn't the best prospect at the time. However strong ambition and good backing combined for him to appear in GP racing, but it wasn't a success, and he left the sport for good in 1974.
