Much better known for his hillclimb and sportscar prowess. Sometimes raced with his brother Peter. Continued to keep links to the sport until his death. Peter and Jeremy were the grandsons of Baron Braintree, Valentine Crittall, the former Labour MP and director of the Bank of England. Richardson often raced a Brabham BT30 in single-seaters and a Daren-MK2 in sportscars. He also raced regularly in a Ginetta G16.
