Sourd was still racing well into his seventies - in 2019, he was in the French FFSA GT series, at the age of 73. He had been in the Blancpain Series for a while previous to that. He also runs his Globe Car automobile business in Lyon. Sourd raced for years, winning the 1992 French touring car title, with 16 victories in the discipline over the years, but was also a champion in hillclimbing and Formula Renault, as well as appearing in sportscars for some years. Marc was also the 1971 Coupe de France Renault 12 Gordini champion.
