Makes occasional returns to historic events. A land-owner, he holds equestrian events at/near his home in Ingarsby Hall, Leicestershire. Henton was an extremely persevering driver, who deserved much better drives and opportunities in Formula 1 than he got - although his late start into the sport, aged 24, in 1970 and being over 30 at his peak, possibly counted against him. A determined, likeable and confident man, he won the European F2 Championship in 1980.
