Also a carpenter. A very fast, spectacular, but somewhat accident prone driver, Werner often appeared in sportscars. Appears, occasionally, at historic events. Christmann's career was stunted largely down to a lack of money (not helped by his crashes) but also when he had a falling out with Erich Zakowski over Erich's wife, just as a works drive was lined up with Zakspeed. Zakowski's influence in the sport was far greater than Werner's and Christmann found good drives difficult to find. Christmann later became an automobile salesman but this didn't work out and he returned to carpentry. He still follows the sport, following both Formula 1 and the DTM particularly closely.
