A very decent driver in sportscars, but is probably better known for his work with the Lotec Sirus sportscar - he has run the business since 1960, and initially the firm and Kurt started off as a tuning firm. However, in more recent years they, and Kurt, have been involved in designing and developing road cars, and Kurt is still head of the company today. Kurt also raced in Formula Vee in the 1960's, and then for some years, competed in the Interserie series, carrying on as a driver until the mid 1980's. Lotterschmid also runs Lotterschmid Performance, working as the head of research and development and has bases in Munich, the US and the Middle East.
