Bernd was for a while a tennis coach to female players, as his daughter had a spell as a tennis professional. His main role however is as head of a housing construction business, which he formed in 1986, based in his home town of Waiblingen. They have planned, designed and built nearly 3,000 quality apartments or other housing projects in both Waiblingen and Stuttgart (and the surrounding areas) since then. Bernd had a varied career, but sportscars was probably where he was strongest.
