Successful sportscar driver, who did well in the Interserie series, finishing second in the Division 2 class in 1980, and then third overall in 1981. He often entered his own cars, more often than not a Toj racing car of various description. As well as the Interserie championship, he had a brief and not too successful spell in the British Shellsport F1 series. Eugen also briefly raced in rallies but appears not to have driven beyond 1981. Grupp was related to Mercedes long-distance racer Erwin Grupp. He was a car dealer specialising in Mitsubishi and Leyland cars.
