Largely unknown racer, who drove in sportscars mainly. Still lives in Germany. Deffland raced in sportscars in 1973 and 1974; all of these were in a Porsche, and one but one of them was in a Porsche 910; the other one was a Porsche 907. All these races were in Hans' homeland, bar one appearance at Imola. Deffland also raced a March in German Formula 3 in 1971.
