Best remembered for his touring car career, winning the Spa 24 Hours in 1982 and 1983. Raced on for many years in endurance racing but now concentrates on historic racing and classic endurance events. Hahne has enjoyed a successful and very long motor racing career (he started, aged just 17, in 1972), but as he wanted something to fall back on in the 1970's, he is actually a qualified dental technician. Armin has also been a long-time test and development driver for Bridgestone and he is also the co-owner of a car refurbishment business, called Hapitec, based in Duren.
