Veteran sportscar driver who raced until the mid 2000's, but also raced on hillclimbs, a category he continues to race, and indeed, still wins in, winning the Reventino hillclimb time trial in August 2016, competing in a Ferrari 550 GT car. Now runs a historic motor racing club, but also enjoys attending historic events involving Ferrari in particular. He started racing in 1978 in both sports prototype and hillclimbs, before moving into Formula Abarth. He moved very quickly into Formula 2, but that was the end of his single-seater efforts. Piero also competed in rallying in the late 1990's and early 2000's. Piero mainly competes in Italy, but has travelled to America on occasion to compete there.
