Promising driver who looked very good in Formula 3, before his move up to Formula 2. Corti had confirmed a full F2 season in 1971, but was killed in a car crash near Bologna before it could be realised. Corti graduated to Formula 3 in 1965, after he first worked on getting a proper education before full-time racing. A very loyal driver to the BWA road car accessory firm who also tried racing, Corti often prepared and tuned his own cars in Formula 2 with money to go racing quite difficult to find. His last race in Formula 2 came at the Nurburgring, when a crash ended his season relatively early in the season with Corti very lucky to escape with only a badly hurt hand to show for it.
