Sportscar regular, who was in the discipline for two decades, from 1969 to 1989, most often in a Porsche or BMW, and more often than not at the Nurburgring, where he became a fixture of the annual 24 hour race, and won the ADAC 300 Kilometer race there in 1969. Appeared in a Brabham BT23 in his Formula 2 attempt in 1970, but entered his Tecno TF71 car in 1971. Helmut also has a patent to his name, for a golf vehicle with an auxiliary motor, which was filed back in 1992.
