Former car salesman and clerk, who was excellent in Formula Vee, but also had a long career in many disciplines, including Interserie. He retired from driving full-time only at the age of 60 in 1999, most of the time acting as his own mechanic and team boss. In 1999, he also sold all his remaining racing stock and his car concern, and from there on became an very active driver, team manager and attendee in German historic festivals. Bross died after battlling illness in 2015, but remained involved in historic racing until just before his death, and was still racing as recently as 2013.
